During my senior year I participated in The Hatchery, which is an independent study course that focused on design entrepreneurship and creating products to sell. As part of the course, we set up a pop-up shop in the lobby.
Stockhome is a company that brings Postmodern Swedish inspired design to America through high-quality home goods. It’s a collaborative project where another student and I developed and branded a pop-up shop which we designed and sold real products for. The product line is influenced by mid-century Swedish minimalism and pattern-work and features items like pillows, prints and linens. The products all use patterns or color blocking with simple materials. The retail space we designed for Stockhome is a simple format so that the products really stand out, so we went with the same direction for the website. The site showcases the products and advertises sales, and pulls a few patterns and shapes to tie everything together.
